Borghola Village

 Borghola village in Kokrajhar district, Assam, is predominantly inhabited by the Garo community. The Roman Catholic denomination is the second largest in the village, with 34 households and over 120 members, comprising 33.33% of the population. St. Michael Catholic Church, a significant spiritual center, was named under the leadership of Complete B. Marak. The church's growth reflects the dedication of the community and its dynamic youth.

  In Borghola village, the first people to embrace Christianity of the Roman Catholic denomination were Billo B. Marak and his wife, Bipula G. Sangma. By nineteen ninety-seven, there were only six Catholic households in the village. Initially, a simple thatched church was constructed. At that time, the village fell under Bongaigaon Parish, although later it was reassigned to Bahalpur Parish due to the distance. During this period, a tin-roofed church was built with the help of Fr. Chenian, the parish priest, which significantly advanced the construction of the church. Many years later, the parish was transferred to Kokrajhar, where services were provided under Don Bosco Parish. During this transition, Fr.
